Forest Research, the research agency of the Forestry Commission, is the leading UK organisation engaged in forestry and tree related research. During 2002-03 the Forest Devolution Review (FDR) was agreed, the second report of FR's Quinquennial Review was presented to Ministers; and a new interim Chief Executive (Professor Jim Lynch) was appointed.
