In this report are the final recommendations for the reform of the law on the limitation period for civil claims (both criminal and family proceedings are excluded). A single, core limitation regime is proposed which consists of a primary limitation period of three years from the date on which the claimant knows, or ought to know, the facts which give rise to the cause of action, and a long-stop limitation period of 10 years.
