EC note: These Regulations make amendments to environmental legislation, and in particular amend subordinate legislation in the field of air quality. Part 2 amends the Air Quality Standards Regulations 2010 to transpose provisions of the EU Ambient Air Quality Directive (2008/50/EC) concerning the contribution made by natural sources and winter sanding or salting of roads. Part 3 amends subordinate legislation in order to address failures of retained EU law to operate effectively and other deficiencies arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.
