Infrastructure to 2030
Volume 2: Mapping Policy for Electricity, Water and Transport
- Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
Infrastructure systems play a vital role in economic and social development, and demand is likely to expand significantly in the decades ahead, driven by major factors of change such as global economic growth, technological progress, climate change, urbanisation, and growing congestion. 'Infrastructure to 2030 – Volume 2: Mapping Policy for Electricity, Water and Transport', assesses the future viability of five infrastructure sectors (electricity, water, rail freight, urban mass transit, and road transport) and considers policy options designed to enhance capacity to meet future infrastructure needs, including measures to create more favourable institutional, policy and regulatory frameworks.
This publication is the second of two publications on the future of infrastructure development. Following on from 'Infrastructure 2030 – Volume 1: Telecom, Land Transport, Water and Electricity' published July 2006 (ISBN 978926023987), available to order below.
