Children's Commissioner for Wales Act, 2001
- TSO (The Stationery Office)
The new legislation builds on the powers provided under the Care Standards Act. It extends the commissioner's powers to review and monitor arrangements for complaints, whistleblowing and advocacy on behalf of children and examine the cases of individual children. It also widens the number of children covered to include those in school or in NHS hospitals.
