Interception Of Communications - Code Of Practice

This code of practice sets out the powers and duties conferred or imposed under Chapter 1 of Part 1 of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 relating to the lawful interception of communications. It provides guidance on rules and procedures, record-keeping and on safeguards for handling intercept material.
Primarily intended for those public authorities able to apply for the issue of an interception warrant, the code will also be informative to communications service providers? staff involved in the lawful interception of communications and others interested in the conduct of lawful interception of communications.
