'Working Together to Safeguard Children: A Guide to Inter-agency working to Safeguard and Promote the Welfare of Children' contains statutory and non-statutory guidance addressed to practitioners and front-line managers who have particular responsibilities for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This guidance is in line with the provisions in the Children Act 1989, Children Act 2004 section 11, s175 of the Education Act 2002 and other legislation including the Government's Green Paper 'Every Child Matters' (ISBN 0101586027, available below).
