Is ITIL Version 3 more closely aligned with BSI ISO/IEC 20000?

One of the objectives of the ITIL refresh project was to more closely align ITIL with ISO/IEC 20000. Following the launch of ITIL Version 3 Jenny Dugmore (technical expert on ISO/IEC 20000) and Sharon Taylor (Chief Architect of ITIL) interrogated the two approaches to see whether closer alignment had been achieved.
