This book describes the work of the Looking after Children Research and Development team since the publication of the original Looking After Children report. A research and development project testing the assessment and action schedules developed as part of the Looking After Children project, before their final implementation.
The book is divided into four parts; part one introduces the principal themes; part two looks at the pressures influencing the revisions; part three considers the issues that need to be confronted in implementing the materials and part four looks at the potential of the information produced and discusses how the data might be used .
