FAO - Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations
FAO is the largest specialised agency in the UN system and lead

and rural poverty, through operational assistance to its member nations and
through the development of international statistics, codes, norms and

Acccordingly, FAO publications aim at developing and improving the efficiency of food production and distribution worldwide, and deal with a wide range of technical and normative aspects. FAO publishes monographs, technical publications, reports and periodicals dealing with agriculture, economics and statistics, fisheries, forestry, environment, nutrition, legislation and all general aspects of the world food situation, in print, on CD-ROM or online.
