The purpose of this CAP 804 is to document the requirements, policy and guidance material that apply to Flight Crew Licences issued by the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority and to the training for those licences. The requirements to be complied with for the grant and continued validity of Flight Crew Licences (and associated ratings and authorisations) issued under the UK Air Navigation Order are notified by means of this publication. For completeness this CAP 804 also includes the rules set out in the European Aircrew Regulation pertaining to pilot licences that are issued by the CAA under European legislation.
