BSI Health and Safety

BSI Standards and guidance will provide you with best practice health and safety management that will improve your organisation and ensure industry compliance. The consequences of a failure to impose appropriate health and safety procedure or the inadequate management of a health and safety system, last year, led to:

  • 1.3 million people were suffering from an illness they believed was caused or made worse by their current or past work. 550 000 of these were new cases
  • 152 workers were killed at work, a rate of 0.5 per 100 000 workers
  • 28.5 million days were lost overall (1.2 days per worker), 23.4 million due to work-related ill health and 5.1 million due to workplace injury.*

BSI Standards have been developed to save lives and reduce injury, while improving your business reputation and helping you, through compliance, to avoid costly payouts.
