Department for Transport – Traffic Signs Manual
The Traffic Signs Manual gives guidance on the use of traffic signs and road markings prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and cover England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Chapter 1 offers an introduction; Chapter 3 provides official guidance on the correct use of regulatory signs; Chapter 4 deals with warning signs; Chapter 5 deals with road markings; Chapter 7 deals with the design of traffic signs; and Chapter 8 deals with temporary situations and road works and is in two parts.
