The ADI and Trainer Advisory Panels

TSO is setting up ADI and Trainer Advisory Panels and we're looking for interested ADIs and motorcycle trainers to take part.
What are the ADI and Trainer Advisory Panels?
The advisory panels will consist of around 20 ADIs and 20 motorcycle trainers who TSO will contact every now and then to ask for advice, opinions and feedback on the official DSA publications for learner driver and motorcyclists, experienced road users and ADIs and motorcycle trainers (both qualified and in training).
We are always looking for ways to improve our products to ensure all road users have access to the information they need to develop their skills, pass their tests and be safe on the road for life. Speaking to key stakeholders, such as ADIs and trainers, will help us make sure we are focusing on the right areas and developing the right products to satisfy users' needs.
What is involved?
Being a member of the panel will not take up much of your time. There will be no specific pattern to when we will contact you - it will be on an ad hoc basis, as and when we could do with your help. Sometimes email will be most appropriate, other times it might be a quick phone call at a mutually convenient time.
What will you be asked about?
The kinds of things we might get in touch about include:
- sending you some potential new cover designs for you to comment on and share your preference
- asking you some questions about the ideal content and format for a new product
- sending you a link to a short online questionnaire to collect your views on a specific issue
- providing you with a question to ask your pupils to collect some feedback from them.
This is an exciting opportunity to help us help the learner drivers and motorcyclists of the future!
What's in it for you?
Being a part of this panel will enable you to have access to all the latest information and resources TSO are working on as part of the official DSA portfolio. You will learn about our product plans and help us discover the best solutions, shaping the products and communication of the future. We would like you to share your experiences and those of your pupils so we can continue to innovate and produce the best products for learner drivers and motorcyclists, and for ADIs and trainers.
As a thank you for being a member, we'll send all active members of the panels a complementary copy of any new products we publish.
How can you get involved?
If you are interested, please let us know by emailing emma.franklin@tso.co.uk with the following information:
- your name
- the best email address to contact you on
- a phone number we can contact you on
- the town/area in which you work
- a couple of lines about what you do (are you an ADI or motorcycle trainer?)
What happens next?
We'll send you some more introductory details. This will include a basic non-disclosure agreement which we will need you to sign. This is simply your agreement that you will not share the information you learn from us with our competitors or other interested parties before it is made available to the general public.
We'll then be in touch as and when we need your help and would be grateful if you can take the time to get back to us with your thoughts on the specific issue(s) at hand.
We look forward to speaking to you in the future!
