The Low Income Diet and Nutrition Survey (LIDNS) was commissioned by the Food Standards Agency and provides strong, nationally representative evidence on the eating habits, nourishment, and nutrition-related health of people on low income. It also assesses the effect of lifestyle and a range of other factors.
Carried out by NatCen, Kings College London, and University College London, this is the most comprehensive survey of its kind in the UK and provides for the first time a wealth of information on the dietary habits and nutritional status of this population subgroup and the factors affecting it.
