BRC Global Standards
The British Retail Consortium (BRC) is
the leading retail trade association, representing retailers of all sizes. They
support retailers and their suppliers though BRC Global Standards a suite of
four industry leading Technical Standards that specify requirements to be met
by an organization to enable the production, packaging, storage and
distribution of safe food and consumer products. BRC Global Standards have been
adopted by over 19,000 certificated suppliers in 100 countries.

North American versions of the BRC Standards
The North American versions of the Global Standards
incorporate US terminology. The content and the clauses within the Standards
remain the same as the original versions. The format and content of the
Standards are designed to allow an assessment of a company's premises,
operational systems and procedures by a competent third
